A man charged in relation to the death of a 21-year-old man outside a service station in Nakasi in 2016 had allegedly told the Police Officer that interviewed him “ I punched the deceased”.
The seventh prosecution witness, Interviewing Officer Amani Bosenawai told the Suva High Court today that when he entered the room to interview Alipate Namoso, he saw that Alipate was frightened.
Bosenawai told the court “ I saw his face and he was frightened because he told me that he punched the deceased”.
The Interviewing Officer also told the court that the accused had injuries on his face.
Alipate Naimoso, Saimone Tucila Senior, Epeli Tucila and Saimone Tucila Junior are all charged with one count each of murder.
The four men allegedly beat up the 21-year-old man and left him outside the service station in February 2016.
