Winds are picking in Nakasaleka, Kadavu as Tropical Cyclone Gita heads towards the Fiji waters.
Speaking from Nukuvou Village, Eliki Viliviliyawa says that at around 9am today, winds started building up and seas are also very rough.
Viliviliyawa says the villagers are putting up shutters and they have already started shift villagers to the village hall.
Meanwhile a school teacher at the Kadavu Provincial School, Sivoni Ligaiviu says that the 136 students of the school have been asked to remain in their hostel.
