Former Reserve Bank of Fiji Governor and Party Leader of Unity Fiji Savenaca Narube says their party is not a fly by night movement and they will bring lasting solutions for the people of Fiji when they go into the 2018 general elections.
While speaking during their first press conference at their office in Suva, Narube thanked the 9,500 members who have joined the movement.
He says they are people from all walks of life.
Narube says Unity Fiji is a multi-racial party and will unite the people through a national vision that is shared by everyone and where people are free to keep their chosen identity.
He says the party believes that we can live together in diversity without sacrificing our identity
Narube also says that Unity Fiji has a leadership team that has a demonstrated track record.
He says that multi-racialism is the future of Fiji and it will not weaken their ability to address the concerns of each ethnic group.
Narube says they will find solutions that last when dealing with jobs, investments, poverty and the economy as a whole.
