SODELPA candidates Ro Filipe Tuisawau and Peceli Rinakama

SODELPA candidates, Ro Filipe Tuisawau and Peceli Rinakama says that SODELPA will need the votes of the people of Tailevu and Rewa to remove the current government in this year’s national election.

Speaking at a SODELPA campaign meeting in Nausori Village Hall, Tuisawau said that the 2013 constitution was not for the people but it is Bainimarama and Sayed-Khaiyum’s constitution.

Tuisawau says that the FijiFirst is using fear tactics on who people should choose in this year’s election.

This is in response to Sayed-Khaiyum’s comments that if another party takes leadership they will take us back 10 years.

Tuisawau says SODELPA will not take Fiji 10 years back but 10 years forward because they have capable people in their party to lead the nation to a better future.

Peceli Rinakama also raised the issue on why Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has so many portfolios in the government and how come his house is always being watched by the police day and night.

He also said that the only way Fiji can move forward is to remove the FijiFirst government in the November 14th election.

Rinakama says that when this government came into power, they removed the Great Council of Chiefs.

He says SODELPA will restore the GCC in the first 100 days in office if they are elected into government.

Rinakama also condemned the government on their move to remove the naming of the confederacies in the traditional welcoming ceremony of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their visit to Fiji last week.
