We just want Fijians to love us and if they don’t then let us exist without hatred.
This was the plea made by a Haus of Khameleon representative, Leli Darling while speaking at the Pride Rally at Ratu Sukuna Park to commemorate International Day Against, Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
Darling says that hatred still exists towards the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex community.
A moment of silence was also observed for those members of the LGBTQI community who lost their lives due to violence.
Former Adi Senikau queen, Benjamin Patel says that more talanoa amongst members of the community needs to be made to create more awareness that can put into implementation the laws that protect members of the LGBTQI community.
Around 85 people were part of the Pride March from the Suva Flea Market to Ratu Sukuna Park this morning to commemorate International Day Against, Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.
