We do not want to underestimate any team.

These are the words of Fiji Airways Men’s National Sevens forward Leone Nakarawa speaking from the side line after their 43-7 quarterfinal win against Argentina.

Nakarawa says that they will continue focusing on improving their weaknesses and ways to counter the opposition with their attacking game.

New Zealand Sevens player Kurt Baker says that a semifinal against Fiji is going to be the ultimate sevens battle and they are looking forward to it.

Baker says that they plan to recover well before tomorrow’s semifinal.

Fiji ran in a total of seven tries and dominated the game with possession through the breakdowns and restart against Argentina.

Semi Radradra who displayed a great performance through out the game was consistent in his delivery.

Radradra helped set up two tries in the first half for Kalione Nasoko and Josua Tuisova.

Paula Dranisinukula also scored a try in the first half to further Fiji’s lead before going into halftime.

Fiji led Argentina 19‑0 at the halftime break.

Coach Gareth Baber reminded the players in the huddle on the importance of defense.

Argentina scored in the first minute of the second half.

Fiji 7s captain Jerry Tuwai outclassed the Argentinians throughout the game with his footwork.

Tuwai created opportunities which led to Amenoni Nasilasila and Alasio Naduva’s try in the second half.

Naduva side stepped three Argentinian defenders in the corner to create a try for Leone Nakarawa.

Looking at other quarterfinal results, South Africa defeated Scotland 36‑5 in a masterclass performance.

Meanwhile the New Zealand Women’s Sevens team won the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens defeating France 29‑0 in the final.

Fiji will take on New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup Sevens semifinals at 8.02am tomorrow.

The first semifinal will feature South Africa taking on England at 7.40am tomorrow.

The final of the Rugby World Cup Sevens will begin at 12.49pm tomorrow.

Fijians around the country and in different parts of the world are encouraged to fly the Fiji flag.

Fiji last won the Melrose Cup in 2005, and 13 years later, fans believe that Gareth Baber has the right mix of players to deliver the win and bring the World Cup home.
