As the first school term starts next week Education Minister Doctor Mahendra Reddy says they want to see that there are no issues with teachers in schools.
He says the Ministry is in full shape in terms of teachers.
Reddy says twenty-one teachers’ quarters which includes 22 married and 7 single quarters are now ready around the country and the teachers who are transferred are occupying them from this week.
Reddy adds that eight teachers quarters were completely destroyed by Tropical Cyclone Winston and it needs to be constructed again under the new building code.
The Minister says school dormitories that were damaged have been constructed and repaired and staff will be deployed to do the cleaning and put the beds in the dormitories today.
The first school term will start next Tuesday.
