Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya says we cannot always just be concerned and worried about our own comfort, convenience and pleasure.
Koya shared these sentiments while officiating at the Ram Naumi celebrations in Narere last night.
Followers of the Hindu Religion all over Fiji began the celebrations of the birth of the Hindu God, Lord Rama yesterday which ends next Monday.
He says we need to be thoughtful of those people who are in difficulty around us and at times we need to make sacrifices in order to help them.
While speaking on the meaning of Ram Naumi the Minister said that Lord Rama sacrificed everything for his Kingdom and his people.
He adds that in the true essence of Ram Naumi we should practice the teachings of Lord Rama and become selfless individuals.
