SODELPA MP Viliame Gavoka and President of Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association and Chairman of the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Board the late Dixon Seeto

‘We always knew that he loved his country and would not say no to any calling in which his vast experience and knowledge was required’.

This was the sentiments of SODELPA MP Viliame Gavoka while paying tribute to the President of Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association and Chairman of the Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Board the late Dixon Seeto.

Gavoka says Seeto was one of Fiji’s very own who rose to great heights in Tourism and Aviation industries which were largely the domain of global players.

He says Seeto was someone they could rely on during the SVT and SDL days, and they worked with him closely in shaping the direction and future of Tourism and Aviation.

Gavoka says he was the complete tourism person having served in airline management, wholesaling, destination management, including ground transportation, small ships cruising and as a hotelier.

He says Seeto had an incisive mind, spoke with clarity and it was a delight engaging with him in the many tourism and aviation forums in Fiji.
