The water supply problem which has been affecting the villagers of Nananu, Drauniivi, Togavere and Nasayani in Ra for the past 10 years will soon be a thing of the past.
Village headman of Drauniivi, Lekima Dausoko has confirmed to Fijivillage that by March this year, the Water Authority of Fiji is expected to construct a reservoir which will be based in Nananu village.
Dausoko said that in the morning, villagers line up at the main pipeline near the village to fill their drums, buckets and containers.
He said during the day, the women wash their clothes and have their bath in the nearby river.
He added that the new reservoir will make life easier for all the four villages.
