Areas in and around Queen Elizabeth Drive are currently facing water disruptions and this will continue until 5pm this afternoon.
The Water Authority of Fiji has confirmed that the interruption in supply is a result of a burst main along the Queen Elizabeth Drive junction.
The Authority says that the affected areas include, Queen Elizabeth Drive from Laucala Bay to Sacred Heart College, from Fatty Shop including USP lower campus, USP Statham campus, USP Main campus as well as Fletcher Road from Laucala bay junction to Viria East and nearby areas.
Fijivillage is trying to get a comment from the Ministry of Education on the plans in place for those schools affected by the water disruption.
Water Authority says that water carts are currently on standby to service the affected areas as and when the need arises.
The Authority says that water supply is expected to be restored at 6 tonight.
