The Water Authority of Fiji will look for an alternative office space in Suva as they will not return to Manohan Building in Laucala Beach.
This decision was taken after a meeting with the structural engineers from the private sector, Mineral Resource Department Officials, Ministry of Employment officials and the Primary Engineer from the Manohan Building.
The meeting was chaired by Minister for Employment, Semi Koroilavesau.
The Water Authority of Fiji is to stay out of its headquarters at Manohan Building until it is determined that it is absolutely safe.
Koroilavesau says the Ministry will do further investigations into the safety of the building and there is no set time period of how long this may take.
Meanwhile, Water Authority of Fiji CEO, Opetaia Ravai says they expect to begin finalizing their new office locations throughout next week and will inform the public about it.
He says the Call Centre is fully operational working out of Wailoku and has taken 1,532 calls in the last two days.
The Customer Service Centre is accepting customers on the second floor car park under a tent adjacent to the headquarters and has hosted 334.
The Finance Section will also stay in its location in the Manohan annex next door to the Authority's headquarters but is expected to finalize its new location on Monday and begin the moving process soon.
400 Water Authority of Fiji staff evacuated the building on the 27th of last month and had not gone back after receiving a vacating order from the Department of Mineral Resources.
