The former Ministry of Health Acting Executive Officer Semisi Havea Waqa and a Suva businessman Nilson Nilesh Narayan appeared in the Suva Magistrates court today.
Waqa and Narayan have been charged by FICAC with one count of conspiracy to defraud ‑ causing a loss to the Ministry of Health.
Semisi Havea Waqa is also charged with three counts of general dishonesty causing a loss to the Health Ministry in 2012 amounting to $15,773.
Waqa and Narayan’s lawyers were not present in court today and plea has been deferred to the 20th of this month.
Waqa allegedly made payments to Pillay Auto Repairs and Aashees Motor Repairs between 1st November to 31st December, 2012.
