Walk for Life’s Michael Fong has now reached Ba

Michael Fong who is currently walking around Viti Levu has reached Ba and has collected about $16,000 for children who have heart conditions.

Fong said he has been blessed with all the support since he started his Walk for Life from Suva on Tuesday.

Fong is now on his way to Tavua.

He said they expect to reach Suva by Saturday afternoon.

Michael Fong is walking around Viti Levu in memory of his son Brian Fong who tragically passed away in 1998 due to a congenital heart defect.

Fong, working in partnership with his employer, Pernix Fiji Limited and the Children’s Heart Foundation has so far received $1,000 each from Vodafone Fiji Limited, Coca Cola Amatil Fiji, Total Fiji and the Ministry for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation.

He added that potential corporate houses who are willing to donate at least $1,000 each can directly deposit the money to the Children’s Heart Foundation, ANZ account number 8663696.
