WOWS Kids Fiji are currently assisting 50 children that are living with cancer.
This was revealed by the WOWS Kids Team Leader Viola Lesi who says that 28 children that they are assisting being treated in Suva and 22 in the Lautoka hospital.
Lesi says the common type of cancer that these children suffer from is leukemia.
She says the types of services that is provided by WOWS include the provision of food vouchers, transportation, medication, assistance in blood tests, accommodation, treatment and getting equipments for patients.
Lesi says a 6‑month‑old baby is the youngest person to be diagnosed with cancer in Fiji.
She says families of children who are suffering from cancer are given moral support and strength by WOWS Kids which in recent years has gained popularity through their efforts to raise funds in assisting young cancer patients.
