An Australian man initially hung up on Oz Lotto officials who called him last night to advise he was a joint winner of a AUD$50 million Australian jackpot.
Oz Lotto officials persisted, eventually keeping the Sydney man on the line long enough to break the good news.
He was one of three winners to share in the 50 million Australian prize, telling Oz Lotto officials he chose his numbers based on family birth dates and had a "feeling" he might win.
The winner told officials he would invest his A$16.6m share of the prize and "have a happy life".
The two other division one winners came from Queensland and Western Australia.
The Queensland winner, a woman from the Brisbane suburb of Carindale, screamed for several minutes when officials informed her of the news.
She told officials she would share the spoils with family members.
