The Water Authority of Fiji’s 20 year Master Plan is expected to cost millions of dollars as it progresses.
Speaking at the 20 year Master Plan workshop, CEO Opetaia Ravai said there will be a need for more donations from interested corporations to assist them in achieving their goal.
Ravai said this Master Plan focuses on continuous supply of clean water with an efficient system managed by effective water utility on water treatment and waste water treatment.
He also said this Master Plan is for the major urban places of Suva, Nausori, Nadi, Lautoka, Sigatoka and Labasa and is based on information gathered from various agencies like the Town and Country Planning and Housing Authority of Fiji.
Ravai added that it will cost nearly $200 million every year to implement the plan.
