The Water Authority of Fiji has confirmed that they are working to address the continuous water disruptions in the Nausori area.
This is after residents from the Nadali, Vunimono, Waituri and the Rewa Delta have raised concerns about water every night after 9pm.
The Water Authority of Fiji says customers living in elevated areas or whose homes are built on piles are the worst affected by the reduced water levels in the Raralevu Reservoir level when there is an increase in demand or during peak hours.
They are working to address the intermittent water supply and lack of water pressure that people in Vunimono, Nadali, Waituri and Rewa Delta in Nausori are experiencing.
To address the issue, Water Authority of Fiji is working on a duplicated water pipe line from the Waila Water Treatment Plant to the Suva end of the new Rewa Bridge.
This is expected to improve the volume of water into the Raralevu Reservoir as well as improve hydrolics that will address the intermittent water supply during peak hours.
This is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
