The Water Authority of Fiji has installed 5,000 litres water tanks in areas in Ba and Lautoka because these two districts have the lowest percentage of water restoration.
The Authority says that they have installed tanks in these areas because they are densely populated.
These areas in Lautoka include Naviago Village, Bila Settlement, Vitogo Village, Field 4 and Lovu.
In Ba tanks have been installed in Votua, Nawaqawaqa, Vadravadra, Natalacake, Natutu, Nailaga, Varoko, Clopcott, Vatulaulau, Vuda Street and Mahesh Chauhan shop in Yalalevu.
The Authority says that Ba had the least restored water because there are more heavy damages to the Balevuto Dam in Ba.
Others areas affected in Nadi, Rakiraki, Tavua and Sigatoka will be receiving water carting.
The Water Authority of Fiji is urging residents from the Western Division to call them and request for water carting if they are experiencing water disruptions.
Members of the public can call the number 3346777 or 5777 if they are in need of water carting.
