The Water Authority of Fiji is now focusing on their 20 year plan.
Water Authority of Fiji CEO Opetaia Ravai said some of the key aspects are providing consistent supply of water to their customers, an increase in their services coverage, building good hydraulic capacity in the water system, increasing the capacity of the wastewater treatment plants and building a better network resilience.
He said they will also start a new program next year called the Condition Assessment of Major Trunk Lines which is the first of its kind.
Ravai added that with the technology available, they will be able to assess their network condition of major trunk lines to determine how vulnerable they are in terms of the collapsing of some of the major trunk lines.
