The Vodafone Tebara Carnival Committee is aiming to collect more than $50,000 in the 2019 Vodafone Tebara Carnival which will begin this Saturday.

Chairman of the Tebara Carnival Committee Lagesh Prasad says the funds will be used for the beautification of the Nausori Town.

Prasad says they are also looking at upgrading Syria Park just like the Suva Park so it can be used by families during the weekends or on holidays.

He says from the funds they collected last year they were able to upgrade the children’s park in Nausori and also provide rubbish bins to the Nausori Town Council.

Meanwhile, Tebara Committee member, Jitendra Singh says Government bodies such as the Land Transport Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Health and many more will have their booths at this year’s carnival.

The 2019 Vodafone Tebara Carnival will see 7 Queen contestants vying for the crown, and will be advocating on this year’s theme “Working towards a safe environment for all”.

The 2019 Tebara Carnival will be opened this Saturday at 7pm at Syria Park in Nausori.
