Villagers of Vuadomo in Cakaudrove, Vanua Levu will now have access to clean drinking water.
This was after Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama opened a borehole in the village earlier today.
The village headman of Vuadomo, Isimeli Serea says that they appreciate what the government has done as they now witness the dawn of a new beginning.
He adds that this has been a long-term problem.
Meanwhile, Bainimarama also opened three boreholes in Waisa, Natokalau and Naseseivua in Bua yesterday which was funded by the government at about $100,000.
