A 46-year-old van driver who is alleged to have sexually assaulted an eight-year-old student has filed his bail application at the Nasinu Magistrates Court.
Magistrate Sufia Hamza has given the Prosecution seven days to respond to the bail application.
He has been further remanded in custody.
The case will be again called next Thursday.
It is alleged that on the 12th of last month the van driver picked up the eight-year-old girl and instead of dropping her to school, he took her to Nakasi where the alleged incident happened.
