It’s good news for people living in Valelevu and close by areas as the opening hours of the pharmacy at the Valelevu Health Centre has been extended by six more hours.
Assistant Minister for Health and Medical Services Veena Bhatnagar has launched the extended pharmacy hours from 4pm to 10pm.
Bhatnagar said in weekdays the pharmacy at the Valelevu Health Centre will be open from 6.30am to 10pm and in the weekends it will be open from 8am to 4pm.
She said the Valelevu Health Centre provides services to about 54,000 people.
Bhatnagar added the demand for service has increased where the health centre in a day provides services to about 450 patients.
Apart from the Valelevu Health Centre, the pharmacy at the Makoi Health Centre will also be open till 10pm in the weekdays.
She said the Ministry is also looking at the closing time of pharmacy’s at other health centres in the country.
