High Court Judge, Justice Vinsent Perera today revoked Jone Vakarisi Junior’s bail which the judge had earlier granted.
DPP lawyer Sujata Lodhia asked Justice Perera if Vakarisi’s bail could be revoked as he has a matter in the Magistrates Court where he and others are alleged to have attacked police officers.
She said Vakarisi committed the offence when he was on bail.
Vakarisi was not present in court today and his lawyer said Vakarisi was still at the remand centre.
In his case in the High Court, Vakarisi is charged with arson and assault causing actual bodily harm.
He was allegedly involved in a number of break‑ins, a road accident and big brawls in Nabua in November 2016.
The case has been adjourned to the 8th of next month.
