The biggest ever Uprising Vonu Music Festival is set to be held this Saturday at Uprising Resort where they will be celebrating 10 years of the Music Festival.
The event will run from 12 midday on Saturday and finish at around 2am Sunday, with nothing but 14 hours of non‑stop live music, dance and entertainment.
Uprising General Manager James Pridgeon says the Music Festival are proud supporters of the Walk On Walk Strong Foundation and also partners with Mangroves for Fiji, where they will be encouraging mangrove planting on the day.
The Uprising Vonu Music Festival will have the best of local music talent from Inside Out, TheRelatiV, One2Eight featuring Big Wilz of Makare, 4 Quarters and new comers Resonate who will be the only band from the West.
Other artists who will be performing include, Blue Monk, Sound Wave of the Pacific, Blue Vein and Vou Dance group.
Uprising will organize a bus on a first come first serve basis this Saturday from Suva to Uprising and back.
Pridgeon says that their goal is to grow this event to be the biggest of it’s kind in Fiji, and in the years to come to grow to be the biggest hopefully in the Pacific.
He says they are targeting more than 2,000 people.
