Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald has assured residents in the Eastern Division that unsolved police reports will be investigated.
Groenewald said if they are criminal matters then they will be investigated by the police.
During a talanoa session at the Vunimono Hall in Nausori, some residents in the Nausori area raised concerns that police officers are not doing their job when they receive reports from the public.
The cases reported include burglary, theft and threatening of some residents in Sawani, Baulevu and Korovou.
Groenewald told the residents to provide the report numbers and give police some time to follow up these unsolved reports.
The Police Commissioner said people can expect the outcome of this investigation in the next 21 days.
Meanwhile, Groenewald confirmed that the force will work out a proper operation plan in the next few months to improve its operations.
He gave this assurance as there have been many complaints against police.
