Unity Fiji Party Leader Savenaca Narube says they have been talking to political parties that were not in government for the possibility of a coalition after the General Elections.
While speaking on Straight Talk with our News Director Vijay Narayan, Narube says that one of their aims before forming the party was to form a coalition but they could not achieve that.
Narube says they have had talks with SODELPA, National Federation Party, Fiji Labour Party and HOPE Party.
Narube adds that talks are still ongoing but not as much as before.
He says they have not targeted any number of seats for the upcoming General Elections.
When asked if they are in a situation where they have to talk to FijiFirst to form a coalition, Narube says he does not want to speculate on anything.
Narube says it is easier to form a coalition with parties that they have already had discussions with.
He says they will be releasing their manifesto tomorrow.
Meanwhile, FijiFirst General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum and National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad will be on Straight Talk from 7 tonight.
