There has been more Ministerial visits, more areas of trades, more bilateral and multilateral support and more exchanges than at any other time in our recent history.
This was highlighted by the British High Commissioner to Fiji Melanie Hopkins during the Queens 92nd birthday celebration organised at her residence.
Hopkins says that a new scholarship fund has been announced and it will enable more young people from the Pacific to study in Commonwealth countries.
She adds that the United Kingdom is proud to be a strong partner to Fiji in strengthening Rules Based International System that delivers for all countries, regardless of size, wealth or might.
Hopkins says the celebration’s theme which is “Looking Back, Looking Forward” is something that is also very close to the heart of the Royal Couple who will be getting married this Saturday.
She adds that Prince Harry has counted Fijians amongst his brother soldiers during his two deployments on active military service in Afghanistan.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markel will be married this Sunday at ST Georges chapel in Windsor and the ceremony will be conducted by the Most Reverend Justin Welby who was graciously hosted by President Jioji Konrote two months ago.
