Staff of the University of the South Pacific have been awarded pay increments by the USP management.
This is a result of further negotiations and consultations with the management and the USP Staff Union.
USP’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rajesh Chandra said the salary dispute issue has now been fully resolved.
Professor Chandra said the university has honored its commitment to go beyond the initial salary award provided earlier this year.
He said they are looking forward to a productive partnership with staff in achieving excellence.
The payout is applicable to both current Union and Non Union staff members in Fiji and is backdated to the 1st of January 2013.
$21,240 will be shared equally with all eligible members of staff who earn less than $11,215 per annum.
They were recently paid a nine percent salary increase.
Meanwhile staff who earn between $11,215 and $15,600 receives a 2.8 percent increase while staff who earn over $15,600 will receive an increase of 5.8 percent.
