A 22-year-old student of the United States of America who is currently in Fiji has been charged with a count of criminal intimidation.
Shivneel Singh who developed an online relationship with a 20-year old-girl allegedly threatened the female student of Suva to post nude photos and send it to him on facebook.
The victim said that she sent the photos as she felt pressured to do so.
After arriving in Fiji last Friday, Singh met the girl and allegedly persuaded her into having sex with him saying he would release her nude photos online if she refused.
He was arrested from a motel in Fiji where he met the girl.
The Suva magistrates court charged Singh with criminal intimidation and clamped a stop-departure order on him.
