Fiji's Human Rights laws will be reviewed during the 20th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council's Universal Periodic Review which commences today.
The meeting is currently held in Geneva where 14 States including Fiji are scheduled to have their human rights records examined under this mechanism.
Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is attending the meeting.
A statement from the UN’s office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights said reviewing of Fiji’s Human Rights laws is scheduled for tomorrow.
Fiji's last rights review was in 2010.
