The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization is intending to improve the availability and quality of Agricultural statistics in Fiji.

This is being made possible through the Regional Workshop for Monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Deputy Secretary Agriculture Development Uraia Waibuta who officially opened this workshop says it will ensure that agricultural statistics are produced by a sustainable agricultural statistical system.

He says the Ministry of Agriculture has been actively participating in these Technical Cooperation programs.

Waibuta says he is confident that this workshop will provide knowledge to enhance the Agriculture Statistical System in Fiji.

The workshop is organized by United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.
