National Federation Party candidate, Attar Singh who has missed out on a parliamentary seat said someone has said that elections is not necessarily about victory but it’s about the battles you fight and how you fight it.
Singh who is the former General Secretary of the Fiji Islands Council of Trade Unions said the option of returning to union or to do something else is something that he will decide during his break.
Another NFP candidate and former unionist, Pramod Rae who also failed to make it to parliament said becoming a unionist again is not an option for him at the moment.
Rae said he needs a couple of weeks rest and will then decide on what he will do.
Rae who was the National Secretary of the Fiji Bank and Finance Sector Union resigned from his position to contest the general elections.
When questioned if he is thinking of joining a union again, Rae said he has resigned from the union and he just cannot go back and hold the position that he has vacated.
