Two passengers who sustained injuries in a horrific road accident at Princes Road, Tamavua last night, are under observation at the CWM Hospital.
A 22-year-old lost his life in this accident.
According to Police, the 22-year-old mini bus driver was heading towards Suva via Princes Road when he lost control of the mini bus which went to the opposite lane and had a head on collision with a bus.
The driver was pronounced dead on arrival at the CWM hospital.
Meanwhile, Police have identified the body of a man believed to be in his early 50s who died yesterday morning in a road accident in Nausori.
Police said at around 6am, the victim was walking on the side of the road near Nausori District School when he was hit by a vehicle after the driver lost control of the car.
The driver of the vehicle is currently being questioned by Police.
In a separate incident, the post mortem of the 25-year-old tertiary student of Nasinu who died in a road accident on Kings Road near the Fiji Dairy factory in Nabua yesterday, is expected to be conducted today.
25-year-old Kritesh Kumar died instantly when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving which hit a lamp post.
