Two people are now facing charges in relation to the death of 14 year old Sereima Degei seven years ago.
Degei’s body was found near her home in Nabouciwa village in Tailevu in 2007.
Eparama Saint John and Ravuama Tawake have been charged with one count each of perjury and fabricating evidence.
The matter was referred to the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions who had said that no charges will be laid against the people named in the inquest.
The inquest was carried out by the Nausori Magistrates court however, the Director of Public Prosecutions had said that there is evidence that certain people may have conspired to pervert the course of justice and fabricate evidence.
John and Tawake have been released on bail with strict conditions.
The two are expected to take their plea on 29th of this month.
