Two passengers and the driver of a bus are still admitted at the Lautoka Hospital who sustained injuries in a bus accident in Raviravi, Ba yesterday.
A 70-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman died in this accident.
The 57-year-old woman from Vunisamaloa, Ba and 70-year-old farmer of Keolaiya, Nadi were travelling with 17 others in a bus along the Kings road when it veered onto the opposite lane and tumbled at a nearby cane field in Raviravi.
Other passengers were treated and sent home.
Meanwhile, another two serious accident cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.
The first occurred at 4.45pm yesterday in Laqere when a five year old boy was bumped by a taxi travelling down the Wakanisila road.
The boy allegedly ran across the road and collided with the left side view mirror of the taxi where he received scratches on his forehead.
He is still under observation.
In another incident, two women were bumped by a vehicle driven by a 33-year-old man at around 6.30pm along the Kings Road, in Narewa, Rakiraki.
The vehicle was heading towards Tavua when the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road, hitting the two women who were walking on the side of the road.
A 27-year-old is currently admitted at the Rakiraki Hospital while the second victim an 18 year old was treated and sent home.
