Two men have pleaded not guilty to corruption‑related offences in the Suva Magistrates Court.
Former Vodafone Fiji Limited Specialist – Fraud, Risk and Corporate Security Rajneal Rakesh Kumar pleaded not guilty to two counts of Bribery while suspended Fiji Police Sergeant Nilesh Kumar also denied one count each of Aiding and Abetting Bribery and Abuse of Office.
They were charged by FICAC last December.
Kumar allegedly took $7,000 and accepted an advantage of $4,000 on two occasions between July and December 2018.
The second accused, as a police officer, is alleged to have helped him acquire the $7,000 from an individual who was under investigation.
