Two men who were allegedly using stolen cheques from a burglary at Millennium Apparel Limited in 2015 have been told by the Nasinu Magistrates Court to file their proper bail applications.
William Prasad and Binesh Pillay have been further remanded in custody.
The case will be called again on the 2nd of next month.
They are jointly charged with two counts of theft, two counts of falsification of documents, one count of general dishonesty obtaining a gain and obtaining property by deception.
It is alleged that a cheque book was stolen and on a few occasions' cheques from the stolen book surfaced whereby stop payments were made to the bank.
Police earlier confirmed that the recent case saw another cheque surface for the purchase of equipment, and a report was immediately lodged at the Valelevu Police Station by the company whereby investigators pursued information regarding the involvement of a taxi driver.
