Khans Lube Bay Mechanical Repairs workers locked out of their office in Nakasi

Two businesses in Nakasi have been locked out of their office and garage.

The new owner of the property, Northern Ice Plant Services said they have not done anything wrong as he is alleging that the two businesses have not paid any rent to him since February last year.

Director, Faiyaz Begg added the property is also under residential status and it has to be turned into a commercial property before any operation can take place.

Begg said he is willing to give these two tenants all their assets as long as they move out in two days’ time.

Meanwhile, the owners and employees of Khans Lube Bay Mechanical Repairs and Trendz Electronics were standing by the road when a team from Fijivillage visited the site.

The owner of Khans Lube Bay Mechanical Repairs, Faraz Khan said he has paid the rent on time and he claimed that the property they are operating from is a commercial one.

Khan said they want to remain as tenants despite the change in ownership.
