Students from 17 schools benefitted from a workshop that was provided for the upcoming HFC Bank Kula Film Awards by two award winning US filmmakers.
Timothy Skousen and Aaron Johnston conducted the workshop which included all aspects of filmmaking from screening, preproduction, filming and editing in preparations for the Kula Film Awards.
Skousen, who is an award winning film maker and commercial director, said the students were really enthusiastic about going out and making a film.
He said their main goal was not just to teach them how to do it but give them the vision and inspiration.
Meanwhile, Film Fiji CEO Dallas Foon said Kula Film is the platform for high school students to participate in the film industry and have experience and consider a career in the industry.
Foon said this workshop has given them skill testing into the various technical areas.
He said 22 schools have registered for the HFC Bank Kula Film Awards.
