Two assessors have found the 45-year-old mother who is charged with raping her 14-year-old daughter in Nasinu, guilty of one count of rape and one count of sexual assault while one assessor has found the woman not guilty of rape and guilty of sexual assault.
The three assessors came back with their opinion after presiding judge, Justice Salesi Temo summed up the case.
The woman had earlier pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The matter was reported at Nakasi Police Station by the 14-year-old girl’s teacher.
The girl had told the teacher that her mother was allegedly raping her between 1st January to 5th July last year.
Justice Temo will deliver his judgement at 11.30am Monday.
