49‑ year‑old Ponipate Turagalevu who was the driver that was involved in the fatal accident between Samabula and Nabua on Sunday, has been further remanded in custody.
The matter has been adjourned to Monday.
Turagalevu has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death, two counts of dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm, one count of driving without a valid driving license and one count of failing to comply with requirements following an accident.
Meanwhile, Kitione Tukana who died from the incident was laid to rest yesterday while the other 19-year-old who also died from the accident will be laid to rest next week Monday.
The Toyota Fielder rental car they were travelling in veered off Ratu Mara Road and tumbled 40 metres down a cliff at around 6.30am Sunday.
