"Fox & Friends" viewers on Fox News in the US helped The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation raise more than $300,000 to help the family of fallen California police officer Corporal Ronil Singh who is originally from Navua.
Singh was gunned down last month during a traffic stop.
In the wake of the tragedy, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation which helps pay off mortgages for families of fallen heroes in the US launched a campaign to aid Singh's widow and five‑month‑old son.
The additional money will go to educational opportunities for Singh's young son.
Tunnel to Towers Foundation says many people didn't just donate to the Singh family, they pledged to donate $11 monthly to the foundation, which will use the funds to help the families of police officers, firefighters and members of the military who died in the line of duty.
