US President Donald Trump said he intends to run for re‑election in 2020 because "everybody wants him to" and there are no Democratic candidates who could defeat him.
British journalist Piers Morgan asked Trump during an interview whether he would run for re‑election. Trump said: "Well I fully intend to. It seems like everybody wants me to".
He has previously indicated his intention to run again, and by June 2017 had raised an estimated US$10 million for his re‑election bid.
In February 2018, Trump named former digital adviser Brad Parscale as campaign manager of his 2020 re‑election bid.
The President was visiting Britain, before heading to Finland for a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
