The trial of the 47‑year‑old taxi driver who allegedly stabbed his 42‑year‑old ex‑wife and a 43‑year‑old man outside a supermarket in Nakasi will start today in the Suva High Court.
The alleged incident happened in March last year.
Rakesh Narayan is charged with One Count of Attempted Murder and One Count of Act with Intent to Cause Grievous Harm.
He has only pleaded guilty to Act with Intent to Cause Grievous Harm.
Narayan allegedly stabbed the 42‑year‑old woman on her neck in a supermarket car park on the 16th of March last year.
A 43‑year‑old man who tried to assist the woman was also allegedly stabbed in the process.
