The trial of a man who allegedly broke into an elderly woman’s house and murdered her in Lautoka will commence this morning before Suva High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo.
Sudesh Mani is charged with a count of murder and robbery.
It is alleged that Mani robbed and murdered a 74-year-old woman in Drasa, Lautoka.
The alleged incident occurred on 13th January, 2013.
It is alleged that Mani stole $2,200 worth of assorted jewellery from the woman before killing her.
