The trial of a Navua businessman facing charges of rape and indecently annoying a person has started before Suva High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo.
Govind Sami is alleged to have raped an employee in Raiwaqa in Navua.
The first incident happened in July 2014 while the second incident was reported in October 2016.
The accused pleaded not guilty to all three counts today.
The woman and the husband both worked for the accused.
Taking the stand as the first prosecution witness, the 30-year-old complainant said she was at their home in July 2014 when Sami came to their house and forced her to remove her pants.
She said that Sami insisted they have sex but she refused.
The complainant also said that she was afraid as Sami was someone she respected.
The trial continues this hour.
