Trial date set for man charged with dangerous driving causing death

The trial date has been set for September 12th next year for Vishal Dayal who was charged with dangerous driving causing death.

Dayal is also charged with dangerous driving occasioning bodily harm and dangerous driving.

It is alleged that Dayal on May 20th last year, was dangerously driving a motor vehicle that caused the death of Shalat Kumar.

Defence counsel Nancy Choo made an application for bail variation in regards to the relocation of his home address and to change his station reporting days.

Police Prosecutor Sergeant Joseph Dickson sought time to respond to the application.

Dayal's bail has been extended.

The case is adjourned to December 6th.
