A trial date has been set for three former employees of the Ministry of Education who are charged with one count of theft and aiding and abetting.
Viliame Elder and Lorence Dalip Kumar are charged with one count of theft while Apenisa Nodrayaca is charged with one count of aiding and abetting theft and one count of theft.
It is alleged that Elder and Kumar have dishonestly appropriated property namely 530 textbooks belonging to the Education Resource Centre of the Ministry of Education on 15th December 2010 with the intent to permanently deprive the Centre of the property.
Nodrayaca is alleged to have aided and abetted Viliame Elder and Lorence Dalip Kumar on 15 December 2010 in dishonestly appropriating property namely 530 school textbooks belonging to the Education Resource Centre of the Ministry of Education.
On the count of theft, Nodrayaca is alleged to have dishonestly appropriated property namely 600 school textbooks belonging to the Education Resource Centre.
Bail has been extended.
Trial will start in Suva Magistrate Court on the 2nd to the 18th of May 2016.
